Paul Krug

Paul Krug founded Glaze in New York City in 2010 with the goal of elevating the American teriyaki shop, a staple of his upbringing in the Pacific Northwest. In 2013, while overseeing Glaze’s growth and expansion, Krug also helped co-found popular Melbourne-inspired, NYC-based cafe, Bluestone Lane. Krug served as the company’s Co-CEO and was instrumental in building the successful, multi-unit business from the ground up. Glaze’s design culls inspiration from this experience with Aussie all-day café culture, which emphasizes clean, simple food served in stylish environments.

Krug believes in a brand’s ability to continually grow and evolve over time – he is constantly iterating and elevating Glaze’s offerings and experience with the goal of providing customers with affordable, satisfying food that is healthful, nourishing, and accessible.
